Where Curiosity Grows and Young People Thrive

Our After School and Summer Camp programs serve Bronx youth from Kindergarten through 12th grade, offering consistent, high-quality learning and enrichment opportunities year-round. Grounded in our mission to create inclusive spaces where communities thrive, these programs focus on each student’s academic progress, social-emotional development, physical wellness, and creative self-expression.

Every young person is welcomed into a supportive environment where they feel seen, heard, and empowered. Through hands-on projects, engaging group activities, and meaningful relationships with trusted adults, we help young learners build confidence, explore their interests, and stay connected to learning outside of school time.

All programs are free and operate directly in partnership with schools and community centers throughout the Bronx and through our partnership with the Department of Youth and Community Development. To learn more about program eligibility and to apply for DYCD programs, please visit Discover DYCD.

Join us this summer as the 2026 Summer Rising applications are now open!

Our Approach

Academic Enrichment

Project-based learning, literacy activities, and homework support help students stay on track with schoolwork and strengthen core skills.

Social-Emotional Learning

Staff use evidence-based curricula and consistent coaching to help children build confidence, manage emotions, practice teamwork, and develop leadership skills.

Creative Arts

Children explore music, dance, drama, spoken word, and visual arts — developing self-expression and creative confidence.

STEM & Technology Exploration

Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities fuel curiosity and expose students to new possibilities.

Family & Community Engagement

Parents and caregivers are welcomed into the program through family events, regular communication, and connections to additional resources across Phipps’ network of wraparound supports.
