Phipps Neighborhoods is proud to be the community-based partner for three NYC Community Schools—offering students and families year-round support to thrive in school and beyond.
What are Community Schools?
NYC Community Schools are public schools with integrated support services, designed to meet the social, emotional, academic, and physical needs of students and families. By partnering closely with nonprofit organizations like Phipps Neighborhoods, these schools become hubs for student and family well-being.
At each of our community school sites, we provide:
Academic enrichment and attendance support
After school and summer programs
College and career readiness advising
Access to mental health and social services
Family engagement and events
Work-based learning through SYEP and Work Learn Grow
